Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the REMI mobile application and website. By using REMI, you agree to these terms.

Last updated September 8, 2026

1. The service

REMI lets you record document expiration dates and schedule local device notifications. The current version is local-first: it does not provide a remote user account, cloud backup, or cross-device synchronization.

2. Eligibility and acceptable use

You may use REMI only in compliance with applicable law. You must not attempt to disrupt the service, reverse engineer protected portions of the app except where law permits it, misuse the website, or infringe the rights of others.

3. Your information and device

You are responsible for the accuracy of dates and other information you enter, for maintaining access to your device, and for keeping an independent record of important deadlines. Do not enter information you are not authorized to store.

4. Notifications

Reminder delivery depends on device permissions, operating-system settings, battery management, available storage, clock settings, and other factors outside REMI’s control. We cannot guarantee that every notification will be delivered at a particular time or at all.

5. Licence

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use REMI for its intended purpose, subject to these terms and the rules of the app store from which you obtained it.

6. Intellectual property

REMI’s name, logo, design, software, and original content are owned by or licensed to the REMI operator. These terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of REMI. Updates may be required for compatibility, reliability, security, or policy compliance. We will not intentionally remove access to locally stored data without a product or security reason, but you remain responsible for keeping any independent records you need.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, REMI is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. We are not liable for missed renewals, expired documents, lost local data, unavailable notifications, or indirect and consequential losses resulting from use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

9. Termination

You may stop using REMI at any time and remove local data using the reset option in Settings. We may restrict website access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security issues, or legal requirements.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply. Questions can be sent through the Support page.
